India doesn’t have an official "national game" as of now. However, hockey has historically been considered the unofficial national sport due to its success and prominence, especially the Indian men's field hockey team's victories in international competitions like the Olympics.

That said, India is home to a variety of traditional and popular sports, and different regions have their own sporting cultures. Some notable games include:

1. Field Hockey:

   • The game is typically played on a field with two teams of 11 players each. The players use hockey sticks to hit a small rubber ball into the opposing team’s goal.

2. Kabaddi:
